This 3 day course and workshop is designed for general surgical pathologists, pathologists with a specialty interest in bone and soft tissue, and pathologists-in-training. The aim of the course is to provide participants with a comprehensive review and update of selected topics in bone and soft tissue pathology. The lecturers are leaders in the field who will give their perspectives on a variety of subjects, ranging from atypical proliferations to common and unusual tumors and tumor-like lesions of the bone and soft tissue pathology. There will be opportunities to bring one's own cases for consultation and discussion during the breaks and after the scheduled program. The course includes lectures and slide seminar discussions, and printed and electronic handout materials will be available.

Andrew L. Folpe
M.D. Professor and Consultant at Division of Anatomic Pathology Mayo Clinic, Rochester
Dr. Folpe attended Amherst College ( Amherst, MA) as an undergraduate, the University of Rochester (Rochester, NY) as a medical student, and performed his residency in Anatomic Pathology at the University of Washington Medical Center (Seattle, WA). Dr. Folpe received additional fellowship training in Immunohistochemistry, under the direction of Dr. Allen Gown, and in Soft Tissue Pathology, under the direction of Dr. Sharon Weiss.
Dr. Folpe is the author of over 170 medical publications, principally in the areas of soft tissue pathology and diagnostic immunohistochemistry, the co-author of the 6th edition of Enzinger and Weiss’ Soft Tissue Tumors and the most recent Armed Forces Institute of Pathology Fascicle on Soft Tissue Tumors, the co-author of Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology: A Volume in the Foundations in Diagnostic Pathology Series, and a member of the consensus conferences for the 3rd and 4th editions of the WHO Classification of Tumors of Soft Tissue and Bone. Dr. Folpe also serves on the editorial boards of numerous pathology and dermatopathology journals. Dr. Folpe has lectured widely on various aspects of soft tissue pathology and diagnostic immunohistochemistry.
In his spare time, Dr. Folpe enjoys spending time with his family, and is an avid cyclist, hiker of Australian Shepherds, and chef.

Dr. Nielsen has written extensively on neoplastic and non-neoplastic diseases and neoplasms of bone and soft tissue. He is the co-author of several book chapters and has participated in writing a number of sections in the current World Health Organization (WHO) Classification of Tumours of Soft Tissue and Bone. He is also contributing to several sections of the upcoming WHO Classification of Tumours of Soft Tissue and Bone released in 2012. Dr. Nielsen is a regular speaker at national and international pathology and orthopedic courses.
Andrew Rosenberg MD

Dr. Andrew Rosenberg trained in Anatomic Pathology at the Massachusetts General Hospital, and subsequently was a member of the faculty for a period of 30 years. During that time period he held a variety of administrative positions related to the oversight of Anatomic Pathology, the division of Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology and Quality Assurance. He achieved the rank of Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School. In 2011, he joined the Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami where he is Vice Chair and Professor of Pathology and Director of Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology. His interests are in the morphology and molecular biology of diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
